Treatment

INDIBA® Animal Health can be used as a primary or adjunctive treatment in the management of acute or chronic pain. This is one of its most immediate and relevant effects. For this reason, our users choose it as their main tool for this purpose.

The pain control effect can be used at different times of an injury. Whether in the acute phase, immediately after an injury or in the immediate post-surgical period; or in the sub-acute and chronic phases, where long-term analgesic treatments can cause unwanted side effects. It is also an alternative therapy in patients where the use of analgesics is contraindicated (allergies or sensitivity, doping, etc.).

Therapeutic effects:

  • Reduction of pain.
  • Drainage of oedemas and bruises
  • Reduction of inflammation
  • Increase in the speed of healing and tissue regeneration

Indications

  • Pain management in acute and chronic phase injuries
  • Pain management in chronic degenerative disease.
  • Neurological disease with pain
  • Post-surgical pain management

  • Chronic degenerative joint disease (osteoarthrosis, arthritis)
  • Chronic neurological conditions with pain
  • Dysplasia with pain
  • Sacroiliac joint disease
  • Geriatric patient with generalised pain

Efficacy of RF Diathermy in Equine Cervical Pain.

Key Points:

  • Two horses with marked muscle pain in the neck area and marked restriction to cervical lateral bending and forelimb retraction.
  • RF applied 3 times per week; total of 12 sessions.
  • Reduction of forelimb retraction distance
  • Increased range of motion and decreased muscle pain in horses with comorbidities of the cervical musculature
